Giving Opportunities at Yerkes

Yerkes Dean

Stuart Zola, PhD
Director, Yerkes National Primate Research Center

As I think about my years at Yerkes, I am inspired by the faculty, programs, and infrastructure we have built, but I am most proud of the incredible generosity of our faculty, staff, students, and friends. We are building a community that is invested in supporting discoveries that will change and improve lives all over the world.

This year the annual gifts we received helped fund crucial research. Our researchers are developing a method of early detection for Mild Cognitive Impairment, a powerful new weapon in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease. Our scientists continue to work toward a cure for HIV/AIDS, harnessing the power of collaboration to advance promising ideas. Our talented researchers, state-of-the-art imaging equipment, and established nonhuman primate colony best position Yerkes for success in making discoveries that address the most daunting diseases of our time.

While I marvel at all that we have been able to do, I am reminded of all that we have still to achieve. Your gifts are crucial to this success because we have many priorities that remain unfunded. These goals will not be met without your generosity. I hope you will continue to support us in our quest to improve lives by including Yerkes in your giving plans this year. Thank you for your generosity, support, and investment in our important work.
